Class Policies

Thank you for enrolling with Kaleidoscope Kids SY 2021-2022.

We are very excited for everyone to have a great learning experience, especially the kids. We have compiled a few guidelines below for our parents and learning partners (those involved in assisting the children during class time). See you in class!

ENROLLMENT

  • Enrollment is on a Monthly, Quarterly, Semestral or Yearly basis. There will be a total of 12 sessions every month unless otherwise specified.
All data and personal information received is kept confidential and used for class and internal purposes only.

  • The tuition includes a learning kit with materials needed that are shipped monthly.

  • Payment of tuition is the only guarantee for your child’s slot- this is a first come, first served basis as we cannot hold a slot for a student who is not guaranteed to enroll.

  • Some of the materials needed are labeled household materials which are easily found in the home. Samples of these are: water, vinegar, towel, deep basin, etc.

  • Parents/Learning partners will be added in a Viber group where the WAG (weekly activity guide) is sent.

  • A Kaleidoscope Kids administrator will be assisting in the viber group should there be any questions or concerns.

ATTENDANCE

  • Absences due to personal reasons will neither be refunded nor scheduled for a make up class.

  • Withdrawals should be made before the learning kit has been sent or payment has been made, whichever comes first.

  • If classes are suspended or cancelled due to weather, government declarations, internet issues, the affected classes will be scheduled for a make-up class either on a Tuesday or Thursday, at the same time.

  • Request for a change in class time will be reviewed by the admin if there are other slots available.

CLASSES

  • Classes are 30 minutes via Zoom every MWF while TTH are extended learning days where children enjoy suggested activities and/or worksheets sent weekly via the WAG (Weekly Activity Guide).

  • Use the child’s name/nickname on Zoom when signing in so that they may be addressed properly.

  • The child should be dressed appropriately for class at all times.

LEARNING PARTNER

  • A learning partner is the child’s one adult companion during class.

  • Please ensure that the learning partner is knowledgeable of the following:

    • Class policies

    • Weekly activity guide

    • Managing zoom: logging into class, mute/unmute and turning the video on/off.

  • Learning partner should observe a gentle manner of speaking and also dressed appropriately during class.

PHOTOS / VIDEOS

  • The school can record and take photos of classes for the purpose of evaluation and documentation. It is noted on the enrollment form should the child’s family wish to keep the child’s face private at all times.

  • If the school uses a photo of the class or children with their school work for its social media accounts, a consent will be asked from each parent. Otherwise, the faces will be covered.

  • Learning partners are encouraged to take photos or videos of their own children during class. Kindly tag us:

  • Learning partners are discouraged from posting photos/videos of other children in their personal social media accounts.

PARENT ORIENTATION

  • A 30-minute Parent Orientation for new families prior to the start of class will be conducted on a monthly basis. Kindly wait for our email with the schedule and zoom link. If parents are unable to attend, we highly encourage an adult proxy who can relay the information discussed in order for your child to have the best learning experience in his/her online classes.
